Travel the World Through Coffee: A Global Journey in Every Cup

Travel the World Through Coffee: A Global Journey in Every Cup

When Wired Coffee Bar was first conceived, the desire for a coffee bar was through the notion that coffee is meant to be savored and shared. Community is built through coffee. And, because the world of coffee is so vast, there is a journey in every cup.

There’s something magical about a cup of coffee. It connects people, cultures, and stories from every corner of the world. From the misty mountains of Colombia to the sun-kissed slopes of Ethiopia. At Wired Coffee Bar, we believe that every roast tells a story, and every sip is a passport to someplace extraordinary.

If you’ve ever dreamed of traveling the world, let your coffee take you there.

The Adventure Begins: Coffee as a Global Experience

Coffee is more than a beverage; it’s a bridge between continents and communities. The beans we roast carry centuries of heritage, grown by farmers whose craftsmanship defines the flavors we love. When you step into Wired Coffee Bar, you’re not just getting your morning caffeine fix; you’re tasting the hard work, pride, and passion of people around the globe who pour their hearts into every harvest.

We roast small batches right here in Ooltewah, Tennessee, but our inspiration comes from everywhere. We carefully select beans from the world’s top coffee regions — South America, Africa, and Asia, and transform them into blends that bring each origin’s unique personality to life.

So, let’s travel together — one cup at a time.

South America: Smooth, Balanced, and Bright

Our journey begins in South America, home to some of the most beloved coffee beans in the world. From the lush hills of Colombia to the volcanic soil of Brazil, these coffees are known for their balance, medium body, and approachable sweetness.

Colombian Coffee
Colombia’s high elevations and rich volcanic soil create beans that are smooth and aromatic, with notes of caramel and citrus. The result is a classic, comforting flavor profile that feels familiar yet sophisticated. When you sip a Colombian roast at Wired Coffee Bar, you’re tasting the heart of Latin coffee tradition.

Brazilian Coffee
Brazil produces more coffee than any other country, and for good reason; its beans are creamy, nutty, and mild, with hints of cocoa. These coffees make a perfect base for espresso or cold brew. You’ll find their richness in our signature blends, roasted to highlight that chocolatey finish our guests love. In the coffee world, some feel that Brazil has the best beans.

Mexican Coffee
Most of Mexico’s coffee is grown in the southern states of Chiapas, Veracruz, and Oaxaca, where high altitudes and cool mountain air produce beans with a naturally balanced flavor. Expect a mild body, soft acidity, and notes of chocolate, cinnamon, and brown sugar — the kind of comforting sweetness that feels like home.

Together, South American coffees offer a journey of warmth and comfort, a perfect match for your morning ritual or an afternoon reset.

Africa: Vibrant, Fruity, and Full of Life

If South America gives us balance, Africa gives us bold expression. The birthplace of coffee — Ethiopia — is where legend says a goat herder named Kaldi first discovered coffee’s energizing effect. Today, African coffees are prized for their bright, fruity, and floral notes that dance on the palate.

Ethiopian Coffee
Ethiopia’s coffee heritage runs deep, and its beans deliver astonishing diversity, from berry-forward Yirgacheffe to the wild fruit and wine-like flavors of Sidamo. Each sip feels like a celebration of the land itself: lively, complex, and unmistakably special.

Kenyan Coffee
Kenyan coffee is known for its juicy acidity and bold, wine-like body. Think blackcurrant, citrus, and a touch of spice. It’s the kind of cup that wakes up your senses and reminds you why coffee can be an art form.

When we roast African beans at Wired Coffee Bar, we aim to preserve that vibrant personality, highlighting the bright fruit notes that make each origin so distinctive. These are the coffees that inspire conversation and curiosity.

Asia and the Pacific: Earthy, Spicy, and Comforting

From the volcanic islands of Indonesia to the mountains of Papua New Guinea, the Asia-Pacific region offers coffees that are deep, earthy, and full-bodied. These are the coffees you sip slowly, savoring the richness that lingers long after the last drop.

Sumatran Coffee
Sumatra, Indonesia, is famous for its dark, syrupy coffees with hints of spice, chocolate, and herbs. These beans are wet-hulled — a unique process that gives them their signature earthy depth. Perfect for those who like a strong, bold cup.

Papua New Guinea Coffee
Papua New Guinea’s coffees are less intense than Sumatran but still complex, often with nutty sweetness and floral undertones. These beans thrive in remote highlands, where traditional farming methods and rich soil create extraordinary flavor.

Our “Liar’s Smile” roast draws inspiration from these regions,  smooth, mysterious, and just a little bold. It’s a perfect reminder that coffee can surprise you in the best ways.
